Upload Stellar and Planetary Parameters

On this page, you may submit a data file that adheres to the format in the template provided below to facilitate getting your accepted, peer-reviewed stellar and planetary parameters reviewed for addition to the NASA Exoplanet Archive quickly and accurately.

Currently, the template can be used to submit stellar and planetary data for any of the following types of planets:

Priority will be given to newly discovered transiting and/or radial velocity planets. Please review the first question in our FAQ that provides the criteria for determining when parameters for previously announced transiting and radial velocity planets are added to the archive.

To make sure everything goes smoothly, your data file will need to meet a few requirements described on this page.

All submissions are reviewed by archive staff. Uploading a file does not guarantee its contents will be ingested into the archive—but it does ensure your data will be considered as quickly as possible.

A staff member will respond within one business week.

Submission Requirements

  • Use the nasa_exoplanet_archive_parameter_template.csv file as your template. Do not change the file type; only .csv files are accepted.
  • You must have and be logged into a NASA Exoplanet Archive User Account to upload files.
  • For consideration, the parameters must be available online and in an accepted, peer-reviewed paper and a link to the accepted paper must be included in the form below.
  • The object (star and planet) names in the files should adhere to the syntax described on the archive's Accepted Identifiers and Catalogs page. If you are creating a new type of object name, this template is not suitable.
  • Submit one file per gravitationally bound system.
  • All three checkboxes must be checked in the online submission form below.
