Data Columns in the KELT Table

The NASA Exoplanet Archive provides access to KELT time series through a web-based search interface, the Table Access Protocol (TAP) service, and the application programming interface (API). The following table lists all data columns in the KELT Time Series table (kelttimeseries) that can be returned through TAP and API queries.

See the KELT page for more information on the KELT data products available at the NASA Exoplanet Archive.

Target Labels and Flags

Database Column Name Table Label Description
kelt_sourceid† Source ID KELT Object Identification
kelt_field† Survey Field KELT field of observation. Fields available are N02, N04, N06, N08, N10 and N12
kelt_orientation† Field Orientation KELT field orientation; either "east" or "west."
proc_type† Processing KELT timeseries processing; either "raw" or "tfa."
ra† RA [decimal degrees] Right Ascension of the target in decimal degrees
dec† Dec [decimal degrees] Declination of the target in decimal degrees
bjdstart† Start BJD [days] Date of first point in light curve Barycentric Julian Date. For N02, timestamps are in approximate BJD where the correction for the field center to edge difference has not been applied. This correction has a maximum value of 30 seconds, but is typically of order 1-5 seconds. For N04, the timestamps are JD_TT, not BJD.
bjdstop† End BJD [days] Date of last point in light curve in Barycentric Julian Date. For N02, timestamps are in approximate BJD where the correction for the field center to edge difference has not been applied. This correction has a maximum value of 30 seconds, but is typically of order 1-5 seconds. For N04, the timestamps are JD_TT, not BJD.
obsstart Calendar Start Time Calendar Date time-stamp of first point in light curve

† Default column: these columns display in the interactive table when the table is first loaded, and when Reset Filters is clicked. They are also the default set of columns returned in the API if none are specified. More information about default columns is given in the archive's FAQ.
